The first CSC meetup of the Romandie in Lausanne - November 2011
It's been requested for a long time by our fans and now we did it! The first China Switzerland Connection meetup of the Romandie in Lausanne :) On that great day we went to visit the Olympic Museum and later on many of us joined in for some Chinese dinner :) Special thanks goes to Nan Zheng, the Leader of the Chinese Student Union in Lausanne, for helping us advertise this event and also to our members "Cola" and Joana Song who organized this event so flawlessly :) Xie xie to everybody who made it to Lausanne!

CSC PSI (Paul Scherrer Institute) Tour - October 2011
Thanks to our Vice President and resident PSI employee Guian Qian who showed us around one of the most cutting edge tech-playgrounds of Switzerland - The Paul Scherrer Institute. The visit on the open doors day was really interesting and we learned a lot about green technology and other experiments they are doing there. We did also get a great introduction into the functionality of the ring accellerator by another reseacher at PSI. We'll be surely back next year! :) As always, we try to design our events so that the participants can easily connect with each other and make new friends :)

CSC Zurich Zoo - October 2011
Thanks to our Zurich members (Especially Qing Wen and Thomas Zumstein) who made this event possible. Originally we wanted to visit the pumpkin festival just outside Zurich but unfortunately the weather forecast wasn't good enough for that. Eventually, we ended up having a look at the new rain forrest building at the Zoo in Zurich. Thanks for everyone who came :) And thanks to mother nature who, despite all odds, blew away the clouds for us :)

CSC Zurich National Museum - September 2011
Wow! We've never had so many participants in any of our events. Around 30 Swiss and Chinese people met up before the national museum at Zurich. Unfortunately, we didn't have a guide to show us around - but as in the spirit of the Chinese word for "crisis": it can mean danger but it can also mean opportunity! So we chose the path of opportunity and made our Swiss participants explain the Swiss history to our Chinese participants! :) A big xie xie (thank you) goes to Fu Xuebin from the Association of Chinese Students and Scholars Zurich who promoted our event in their newsletter!

CSC Bern City Tour - May 2011
After the success of our first event in Lucerne we decided to host another one - this time in Bern! Apart from returning people who we got to know from the first event in Lucerne, there were also a few new faces. Among them, we had the pleasure to meet Ueli Merz from the Schweizerisch-Chinesische Gesellschaft. We greeted the bears in the bear park and smelled the flowers in the rose garden, until we again ended up eating some great Chinese food :) As always, we offer this service for free to everybody and everybody is invited, no matter if you're a fan of us on our facebook page (www.facebook.com/chinaswiss) or not. The only thing that people had to pay for was their meal in the restaurant, if they chose to have dinner with the group. People walked, people talked, made new friends, shaked their hands, the day passed by, we said good bye :) Zai Jian! - Until next time! :)

CSC Luzern City Tour - March 2011
The China Switzerland Connection (CSC) has existed as a facebook page (www.facebook.com/chinaswiss) for about a year when we decided to host the first gathering of our fans. Originally, we didn't plan to do gatherings, but after several fans requested them, we just had to do one. With the help of Summer we went on a city tourist tour around Lucerne. Some people may have already known Lucerne, but the weather was nice, our tour guide (Summer) was funny and surprisingly all of our guests started to have an avid conversation with each other about China and Switzerland. In the end we met up at a local Chinese restaurant in Lucerne to have some great food :) It seemed that everybody returned home, more knowledgeable about both cultures and perhaps with a couple of new friends :)
